View of the Thames from Crossness Pumping Station
Looking north-northwest. The slightly impaired image quality was deliberate - it was taken through the windows of the Engine Room of the pumping station, which I believe are original to the building, judging by their grubbiness and cloudiness, so I thought taking an image through the windows would help appreciate the sort of conditions the lower classes faced in the pumping station in Victorian times. The two Lego-like tower blocks on the A13 in Barking can be seen just above the storage compound in the river.
