The 11.16 Bournemouth West - Newcastle express has joined the main line off the Reading West line from Basingstoke and will turn off at Didcot for Oxford and the North. The locomotive, SR rebuilt Bulleid Light Pacific No. 34021 'Dartmoor' (built 1/46 as No. 21C121, rebuilt 1/58, withdrawn 7/67), will work as far as Oxford.
