Sandford Walk, Exeter
Newtown was built up between the 1830s and 1850s, and consists of terraced housing on slopes on either side of Clifton Road. This terrace faces a small green open space and Newton School. There is modern infill, such as the bridge on the right, resulting from 1942 bombing. The photo was taken a few yards from SX9292 : Golden Lion - Exeter.
