St John, Rushford
St John, Rushford
St John's claim to fame is that it was used as the set in the 1968 film "The Witchfinder General", about Matthew Hopkins, starring Vincent Price. Although used occasionally, the church is kept firmly locked with an ugly padlock and chain.
