George Ridding, D.D, 1828 - 1904 was a headmaster and bishop. Headmaster of Winchester College, and first bishop of Southwell. Married Mary Moberly who died within a year of the marriage. His second wife was Lady Laura Palmer.
The book he has open says "Lord hear our prayer".
