Flooding on Market Street, Hebden Bridge
Flooding on Market Street, Hebden Bridge
Flooding is a fairly common occurrence in the narrow and steep sided Upper Calder Valley. On this occasion torrential rain led to drains being blocked and unable to cope. The main road through the valley was closed at various places, including here along Market Street in Hebden Bridge. By this point water levels had started to fall.
