Cardigan Guildhall & Market
Built in the Ruskinian Style between 1858 and 1860 it is not a listed building, although it was a pioneer of this style. The clock tower was added later in 1892. Because the benefactor who put up the money for its construction was a wines & spirits merchant, the timepiece was known as 'The Whisky Clock'. It's interesting to note the mis-spelling - 'whiskey' (American spelling) on the town's official information plaque attached to the building!
