Remains of the Vesper Gate
Remains of the Vesper Gate
This pillar is the only surviving fragment of the wall which once surrounded Kirkstall Abbey. Comparison with a picture from 1947 on the Leodis website LinkExternal link shows that it has lost some stones from the left side in the last 60 years, although it is still as tall.
