Missing Incline Bridge at the First Level
Missing Incline Bridge at the First Level
Each intermediate level would have been spanned by a bridge to allow the transit of quarried rock for dressing and waste for disposal along that level. Over time the iron and wooden bridges have been salvaged for scrap. This makes access to the higher levels of the quarry difficult and certainly not a task for a wet and misty day.
