Weir, Jumble Hole Clough
Weir, Jumble Hole Clough
During the nineteenth century Jumble Hole Clough would have been a hive of activity, with several mills taking advantage of the steep valley and fast flowing water to provide power for machinery. Water would have been diverted from above this weir and channelled along a goit or mill race to a dam above one of the mills - probably Jumble Hole Mill - which still stands today.
