This mockup of the Atlantic Wall NN8303 : Atlantic Wall, originally topped with barbed wire, protected by rising ground and a final ditch, provided realistic training for the D Day Landings in June 1944.
The whole length of this wall has been pounded by explosive missiles and evidence for the realistic-training attacks is plainly visible even today.
