Garden at Haddon Hall - 4
Haddon garden escaped the Landscape movement in the 18th century (popularised by Lancelot Brown and others) because the Manners family lived mainly at Belvoir Castle and allowed the garden here to become overgrown. When the 9th Duke and his wife took up residence here in the early 20th century, they cleared the site and returned it to its English Renaissance glory, including the creation of this Fountain Terrace.
