The Huddersfield Narrow Canal runs for 20 miles between Huddersfield in West Yorkshire and Ashton under Lyne.
At its summit the Canal is the highest navigable waterway in Britain.
The canal has a total of 74 locks on its route and at this point it passes beneath SD9906 : Uppermill Viaduct
