Whins in Autumn

After the damage done by the severe winter of 2010/2011 the whins made a very poor showing in May 2011, when you would have expected to see them, but they are all in full bloom in late November. It will be very interesting to see if they put on a good show again in six months' time, or whether this unseasonal flowering will have taken up all their energy. Beyond the whins are rolling glacial landforms, with Little Kildrummie Farm in the middle distance.
