taken 13 years ago, 5 km from Bodermid, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Bardsey Island, Lleyn
Bardsey Island, Lleyn
This is the last outpost of the Lleyn Peninsula. It was a religious retreat for many centuries. Now it's a National Nature Reserve, and some basic holiday accommodation is available. The piece of land in centre right is not an island, but the tip of the peninsula beyond Aberdaron [Pen y Cil].
