Market Place, Bury
Looking across Market Place, from Silver Street. The square is decorated with a Christmas tree, behind which is the statue of Robert Peel, and the Victorian Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin.

The church of St Mary the Virgin was built between 1871-76 and is the only Grade I listed building in the town. The spire pre-dates the church, having been constructed in 1842.
