Brick burrs on the edge of the creek
Brick burrs on the edge of the creek
The eastern shore of Conyer Creek was the site of Conyer brickworks which closed (I think) in the 1960s. These brick burrs (bricks overheated and fused together in the kiln) are one of few reminders of this industry on the western shore of the Creek.
