Private tea room on Meadowsfoot Beach
Private tea room on Meadowsfoot Beach
I struggled to describe this originally, eventually describing it as a small cottage overlooking Meadowsfoot Beach (though this didn't seem appropriate). Having appeared as a 'Photograph of the Day' on the home page I have undertaken a little research. I think this is actually a private tea room built in 1873-1875 by Mr H Mildmay for use during private picnics. It has been built on the foundations of an early lime kiln.
