The Navity Bank navigation buoy is maintained by The Northern Lighthouse Board. The buoy marks safe passage between Navity Bank and Riff Bank and lies at the seaward end of the North Channel which gives access past Chananry Point leading to and from Inverness. The mast in the background is the Rosemarkie TV transmitter on the Black Isle.
