Two walkers are approaching the cairns on a beautiful December afternoon. The three cairns at this 464m summit mark the meeting of the properties of Selkirk Burgh, Yair and Buccleuch. They were constructed in the 1500s by the Lairds of Selkirk, Yair and Philiphaugh to mark the boundaries of their land.
