Wollaton Hall
Wollaton Hall
At about 1600 hours on a December Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Industrial Museum to see the engines in steam.
Wollaton Hall Country Park
Wollaton hall is a former stately home in the Nottingham area. The house, grounds (five hundred acres) and outbuildings are run by Nottinghamshire county council. The steam museum is run my the Nottingham Arkwright society. Inside are many rare and steaming exhibits. Outside is a very rare 1840s horse Whim Gin colliery winder.
Also of interest is the Natural history museum with its geology section.
