Dead whale on beach at Old Hunstanton - Christmas Day 2011
This decomposing body of a 55ft sperm whale had been washed up on the beach at Old Hunstanton on Christmas Eve. According to reports the body was first seen on the salt marshes near RAF Holbeach bombing range a week earlier. Within 24 hours of me taking this photo someone had sawn off half the bottom jaw from this unfortunate creature. For a video see Link
It was eventually removed by contractors who had to saw it into sections and load them into skips, see Link
