The old Armoury

At the junction of Doncaster Road and Armoury Road. Original the Armoury and Drill Hall of the Selby Rifle Volunteers. They were formed in 1862, and these premises built for them in 1864-5 by Edward Taylor of York. See Link

for the fine inscription over the main door. The premises are now occupied by an industrial retail firm. Listed Grade II.
