SE6132 : Ousegate railway bridge

taken 6 years ago, near to Selby, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Ousegate railway bridge
Ousegate railway bridge
The roadway is split level. Presumably the lowered part is subject to flooding, making the higher level necessary from time to time.
Beyond the bridge on the right hand side, the building with the two large doorways is the original station of 1835, which was the terminus of the railway from Leeds until the extension to Hull in 1840.
