Weirs, River Lathkill
Weirs, River Lathkill
A good stretch of the river above Conksbury Bridge has fishing ponds and weirs. The water level is high again, after a summer in which much of the river went underground. A water tracing experiment was carried out in November 2011, by Natural England, to determine the reasons for the occasional disappearance of the river, and the part that 18th century mining soughs play.
