Cabin at Pollington Swing Bridge
When traffic was heavy, there was presumably a bridge keeper on duty here.
No.3 (Pollington) Swing Bridge

Possibly dating from the improvements of the 1860s. The bridge provides field access across the canal from the eastern end of Pollington. It formally carries a public footpath and as a result appears to be in working order, although the path is waymarked to use the walkway across the lock gates. The bridge is operated by chains attached to a double-drum capstan on the north bank of the canal.
