The ruined quarry buildings are on the left NY5857 : Ruined building north-east of Foresthead Quarry and the lime kilns on the right NY5857 : Track near Foresthead Quarry lime kilns
The Blacksike Colliery Railway was a branch of Lord Carlisle's Brampton Railway. It opened in 1821 to transport limestone from the Blacksike quarries to Brampton. It was closed by 1976. LinkExternal link
