SP3961 : Dallas Burston Polo Grounds

taken 12 years ago, near to Bascote Heath, Warwickshire, England

Dallas Burston Polo Grounds
Dallas Burston Polo Grounds
A view NE across part of the polo grounds from one of the gateways on the A425 Leamington to Southam road. If the HS2 goes ahead then the photographer would be standing on the southern edge of a 120 metre wide by 21 metre deep cutting at this point, looking almost exactly at right angles to the proposed track. The cutting would start at SP3961 : A line of tanks near Lower Farm and finish at SP3962 : Tunnel Portal for HS2? where it would enter a tunnel under Long Itchington Wood.
