The path connects the church with the B4070 in the Cotswolds village of Slad.
The church is part of the United Benefice of Stroud and Uplands with Slad, in the Diocese of Gloucester. The church was built in 1831 to the design of Charles Baker of Painswick. It was reconstructed in 1869. The clock bears the date 1887.
The church was Grade II listed in August 1990.
