Floating Breakwater
Floating Breakwater
This is an ingenious idea. It is a boom, made up of old tyres chained together. I am told that it is very effective in reducing the choppiness of the water in the Port Edgar marina. However it does need regular maintenance because the chains holding it together corrode quickly in the salt water, and have to be replaced about every two years.
