Capel Carmel

Ailadeilawyd y capel yn 1882 ac fe'i helaethwyd eto yn 1929. Saif y fynwent ar oleddf serth ac o ganlyniad bu raid codi walydd ar ochrau'r beddau er sicrhau eu bod mhw'n gorwedd yn wastad. Carmel Independent Chapel is located in a secluded valley near Burry Port. Prior to 1826 members worshipped at Jerusalem Chapel in Burry Port but as a result of a schism many members left and in 1828 they built Carmel Chapel. The chapel was enlarged a year later. In 1882 the chapel was totally rebuilt and enlarged again in 1929. The graveyard is located on a steep slope and therefore the sides of the graves have to be built up to ensure that they are level. The long distance St Illtyd Walk passes alongside the chapel
