4 Pottergate
Grade II* listed house of 14th and 15th century altered about 1760 and again in the 19th century. From roughly 1400 to 1726 it formed a single property with number 5. Dr Edward Parker Charlesworth pioneer of insanity treatment lived here 1820-1834. The unusual hexagonal glazed door is 19th century. The window to the right is 15th century and within a blocked carriage arch.
