The image shows the lane from Ash Bullayne to Knathorn farm and is one frame from a 16mm film made in the early 1970s. The film experimented with film form, juxterpositioning two different filming periods within the projected film print. Each filmed seasonal period was shot from a car driving along the lane: heading north in summer, heading south in winter. This is the winter period and can be seen within the complete filmstrip here:
