Stone Circle, Yadlee
Five of the seven small stones that makes up this late neolithic/early bronze age stone circle. All stones in the circle are relatively small (less than 0.3m high). The stone circle is situated in an area of level ground though is surrounded by undulating moorland. Crystal Rig wind farm is in the background. A recent planning proposal to extend the wind farm was objected to by Historic Scotland, identifying a number of turbines that would have an adverse effect on the setting of this stone circle. Historic Scotland requested their removal from the development and this became a condition of the planning consent.
