Approaching Carn-y-gorfydd Roadside Rest on The Blorenge
Approaching Carn-y-gorfydd Roadside Rest on The Blorenge
The mountain road here incorporates a car park designated a 'Roadside Rest' and dates from the days when an old car might well need a rest on the steepish climb up the eastern flank of The Blorenge (or conversely to cool its brakes on the steady descent). It is a great viewpoint and was popular with picnickers as the hillside here is sheltered for most of the year.
