Unmarked crags on Conival
Unmarked crags on Conival
If you intend to complete the circuit of Conival and Am Faochagach via Coire Loch Tuath beware! The crags on this side of Conival are not shown on the 1:50 000 OS map (but are shown on the 1:25 000 series) however they cover almost the entire north edge of the hill. The section shown here is about 25 metres from top to bottom. Going down is never as easy as going up a cliff so some care was needed to negotiate the descent safely. The safest way off the north side of the hill is to continue north west to the bealach with the little lochan, don't be tempted down at the first col, then head north to the head of the burn which flows into Loch an Tuath.
