'Rippled' tree bark at Landwade (north-facing)
The rippled surface of this tree bark was only on the north-facing side of the trunk. It looked very odd, and I don't know what would have caused it. On the west-facing side (see:
TL6267 : 'Rippled' tree bark at Landwade (west-facing)), there is a distinct separation between the ripples on the north side and the smoother south-facing bark.
