Big Wood and bales

Big Wood is a deciduous woodland on a hill top just south of Winterbourne Abbas. It is Wherrybones Wood from Thomas Hardy's novels. The site also has several Barrow Burials or Tumuli along the edge of the woodland and just inside it.
