Centenary Mill - engine house
Built 1895 for Horrockses, Crewdson & Co Ltd. RSJ framing and concrete floors. The engine house contained a Musgrave horizontal four cylinder triple expansion engine with cylinders 24.25", 36" & 40" (2) x 6' stroke. It was of about 2000 horsepower and drove by ropes.
Now converted to apartments with the engine house forming a huge and empty lobby and access up through the rope race.
