Newark Navigation
Newark Navigation
Looking south along the Newark Navigation, a cut of the River Trent created in 1772 to improve trade into the town. The bridge on the opposite side takes the overspill into the weir just behind, where the river then flows around Newark Basin. A popular spot for canoeists.
