TR3366 : Catering van, RAF Manston 1953

Catering van, RAF Manston 1953
Catering van, RAF Manston 1953
The van seems to be a Commer from 1952 and could well have been fitted locally. The two men are United states airmen as Manston was a joint RAF/USAF base in the early fifties. Indeed, the aircraft in the background appear to be B-47 Stratojets. UKES seems to stand for 'United Kingdom Exchange Service' which was involved in postage and catering for the forces.
