Wolverton Playing Field
This field is part of a gift left by George Brown of Wolverton House to the people of Wolverton in 1685.
In his will of 11th April 1685 he also left four houses and 15 acres of land to provide benefits for the parishioners of St Catherine's Church. The houses were called Poors Cottages and are next to Wolverton village hall. These days the Rector heads the committee which manages the trust.
