Rothley Station - a rake of mineral waggons behind a 'Jinty'
Period station on a preserved railway - note the milk churns in the foreground. 47406 is one of 422 standard LMS shunting engines. This one of the wrecks saved from the scrapyard on Barry Island. Rescued in 1983 it was finally restored and back in service in 2011. I had a short ride behind this earlier in the day - from Loughborough to Quorn & Woodhouse. Behind the loco is a rake of 16 ton mineral waggons known as the 'windcutter'.
