Grade lI listed Church of St Mary the Virgin, Bonvilston
Grade lI listed Church of St Mary the Virgin, Bonvilston
A sign at the entrance to the churchyard from the A48 records that there has been a church dedicated to Saint Mary on this site from the 12th century. The first incumbent is recorded in the parish in 1189. The present church, rebuilt in 1863, is in a typical Victorian Gothic style. Only the tower and chancel arch remain from the original Norman structure.
Grade II listed in January 1963.
