Peterborough: Nene Viaduct
This cast iron bridge was built to the designs of the engineer Lewis Cubitt (1799 - 1883) to carry the Great Northern Railway over the River Nene. It was first used to carry passenger services in 1850. It is now a Grade II* Listed structure. The bridge was widened with the construction of a new bridge in 1924 on the far side to this one.
