Fordwich :: TR1859
Fordwich is a village (or small town) just to the east of Canterbury on the Great Stour. It was historically the port for Canterbury and the stone to build Canterbury Cathedral was imported here. It is the smallest settlement in the UK with a town council and has one of the smallest town Halls in the country.
George and Dragon pubs
St George is the patron saint of England and his conflict with a dragon is essential to his story. This sign is a symbol of English nationalism.
