Dean Castle - Keep and Banquette House
Dean Castle - Keep and Banquette House
Taken from the walk through of the castle gates, this unusual view shows part of the Keep foundations. Part of the, later added, steep stairway to the Keep entrance is also visible. This entrance was originally accessed by a ladder, and this is illustrative of the security afforded by the original Keep.
Across the Courtyard, part of the Northern side of the much later constructed Banquette House which was built in more settled times.
