Building to the Boundary
Building to the Boundary
This is the first and last house in Reading along the A4074, and as you can see development goes right up to the county line. Caversham, north of the river, was for centuries part of Oxfordshire, only officially transferring to Reading Borough in 1911. The northern part of Caversham is still in the Oxfordshire parish of Mapledurham.
