Alton Font
Alton Font
Octagonal font in St Lawrence, the historic parish church.
[Miguel Torrens] "This is the 19th-century font, the newer of two in the church. It is interesting that the Victorians continued to use the 'Instruments of the Passion' emblems on shields, 4-500 years after the fashion started".
