Deer Fence at edge of Cornabus Forest, Islay

The track through this plantation is easy to follow, until it comes to an abrupt halt. I got lost trying to find a ride through the thicket and ended up wading through deep bog (thankfully partially frozen) and dense spruce until I came to this deer gate. I then followed the fence, with great difficulty, right round to Frachdale where I was very relieved to rejoin a well-trod path.
